The net worth math, in plain words
- Net worth
- = Everything you own โ everything you owe
- $318,478 owned (including a R$900,000 home, $172,380) โ $75,183 owed = $243,296.
- Liquid net worth
- = Net worth โ home and car + the loans on them
- $243,296 โ $172,380 home โ $18,000 car + $72,783 mortgage โ $125,700 you could reach quickly.
- Debt-to-asset ratio
- = Total debts รท total assets
- $75,183 owed รท $318,478 owned = 0.24: about 24% of what you own is borrowed.
- Allocation share
- = One bucket's value รท everything you own
- $172,380 in homes รท $318,478 owned = 54%: under 60%, so the estate counts as well diversified.

Every currency, every day
Keep each account in its own currency: dollars, euros, reais, yen, Bitcoin or gold. Rates for 160+ currencies plus crypto and metals refresh daily, and your total shows in the one you choose.
Balances that follow your money
Import a bank statement or log a purchase in three taps, and your accounts and net worth move with it. Automatic bank connections are planned, starting with Open Finance in Brazil.
Honest valuations
You value your home and car. When a value is three months old, Sir Reginald asks for a fresh one, and the loan on it shows as equity: what you'd keep if you sold.
Allocation at a glance
Your wealth by type and by currency, side by side, and a quiet word when one bucket holds more than 60% of everything you own.
Milestones
From a first entry to a millionaire estate
Each milestone is a fact about your money: what you own, where it sits and what it adds up to. Ginkou marks each one as your estate reaches it.

Questions
Net worth questions, honest answers
How do I calculate my net worth?
Add up everything you own and subtract everything you owe. What you own: bank accounts, savings, investments, retirement accounts, your home, car, crypto and gold. What you owe: your mortgage, car loan, credit cards and other loans. The result can be negative, and that's a perfectly good place to start.
What is liquid net worth?
Liquid net worth is the part of your net worth you could reach quickly: cash, savings, investments, crypto and gold, minus card debt. Ginkou leaves out your home, your car and the loans on them, because you can't pay for groceries with a kitchen.
Can I track my net worth across different currencies?
Yes. Each account keeps its own currency, whether it's a dollar checking account, euro savings, a home in reais, Bitcoin or gold in ounces, and your total shows in the currency you choose. Ginkou supports 160+ currencies plus crypto and metals, with rates refreshed daily.
What is a good debt-to-asset ratio?
There's no single right number, but lower means less of what you own is borrowed. Under 30% is comfortable for most households. A new mortgage can push it past 50% for a while; it falls as you pay the loan down.
What does well diversified mean?
In Ginkou, well diversified means no single bucket (homes, vehicles, investments, crypto, metals or cash) holds more than 60% of what you own. It's a simple rule of thumb to spot concentration, not a portfolio recommendation.
Should I include my home in my net worth?
Yes, at what it would sell for today, with the mortgage counted as a debt. Ginkou also shows your liquid net worth without the home, and reminds you to update its value every three months.
How often should I update my net worth?
Monthly is plenty for most people. In Ginkou your balances move as you import statements or log spending, crypto, gold and exchange rates refresh daily, and you're reminded to revalue your home and car every three months.
Is Ginkou free? Is this financial advice?
It's free, with no ads and no premium tier, and your data stays on your device unless you choose to sync it. It isn't financial advice: Sir Reginald helps you see your own numbers and build habits, but for big decisions talk to a licensed professional.
